Consider planting bulbs in the same way on roofs and combine this with the use of Wildflower Roof Turf.
Fabulous results can be achieved using our carefully selected spring flowering rooftop mix. This is a low growing, small bulb size mix that will sit well within 100mm of substrate on a roof. It is early flowering, will withstand colder temperatures and provide plenty of colour before the growth of wildflower roof turf takes over in late April – May. Care must be taken when planting the bulbs into an existing green roof. Please follow the instructions to avoid puncturing the lining of the roof.
