The sowing rate for grasses and wildflower seeds is critical in its successful establishment. Wildflower and grass seed rates vary between products and, to a large extent, be specified in bespoke mixes. For more information contact our customer services team.

Inert growing medium
This can vary in make up between products and at various growing times. The thickness of the turf base can also vary depending on the age of the turf, with older turf being thicker. The thickness of the turf supplied has no effect on the performance of the turf.

Polymer Mesh
This is used in the base of the turf and allows for easy handling without damaging the turf. In bespoke mixes and certain products, a biodegradable mesh can be used as an alternative for the polymer mesh if required.

Root mat
The unique growing method developed by Wildflower Turf Limited over numerous years, allows the Wildflower Turf® to develop a natural weed suppressing root mat, giving the product the best possible start when installed.
