Meet The Team – Stephanie Newson

Our team of wildflower specialists continues to grow and, in this newsletter, we’re delighted to introduce you to the newest member of our team – Business Development Executive, Stephanie Newson.

Born in the Surrey countryside, Stephanie’s early years were spent getting her hands dirty in the family-owned landscaping business. Stephanie would often help out with hedge cutting, laying turf, and planting shrubs and seasonal bedding plants for a variety of clients while simultaneously listening to her father’s many tales of horticulture.

She graduated with a BSc in Design & Innovation from Portsmouth University’s Engineering School and then worked for Dyson in a sales and training capacity and was instrumental in managing the public launch of Dyson’s Supersonic hairdryer in 2016.

Following Stephanie’s time at Dyson, she joined TÜV SÜD (global experts in compliance, providing testing & product certification services) as a Technical Sales Manager before working for Image Events as their Event Manager.

During the pandemic, Stephanie worked with the NHS on an interim basis and is trained to handle patient 111 and 999 calls. (These skills are already coming in handy when the Wildflower Turf Ltd phone lines run hot…)

She soon progressed to a training role within the NHS until we came along and enticed her back to a business development role that resonated with her roots in horticulture. The NHS’s loss is our gain!

Alongside some exciting large upcoming projects (watch this space), Stephanie will also soon be delivering some CPD sessions and is looking forward to meeting many of you over the forthcoming weeks and months.

Outside of work, Stephanie enjoys adventure travels, hikes and long walks. She has travelled to 28 countries (and counting) to date and in her spare time, Stephanie also runs car events for her club www.GermanVSJap.co.uk raising funds for a variety of charities.

With a real passion for the outdoors and the natural environment, we are thrilled to have Stephanie join our team.
