Landscape Institute Jellicoe Lecture

A long-standing event in the landscape industry’s diary, the Landscape Institute’s annual Jellicoe Lecture began back in 2011.

Sadly last year was the first year the event was unable to go ahead in its normal format due to Covid-19 restrictions so this year’s Lecture is one not to be missed.

Wildflower Turf Ltd are sponsors for this year’s Jellicoe Lecture, with the event taking place on the 2nd of November.

Our Managing Director, James Hewetson-Brown, will also feature on the panel.

This year’s Jellicoe lecture is devoted to discussing the biodiversity emergency and how best the landscape sector can respond to redressing the balance, placing biodiversity at the heart of its work.

Wildflower Turf Ltd is proud to sponsor the 2021 Jellicoe Lecture

For the last couple of decades, the climate crisis has largely overshadowed the biodiversity crisis, perhaps because its threat seemed more dire. But the balance may be shifting. Scientists warn that declines in biodiversity can lead to ecosystem collapse, threatening humanity’s food and water supply.

The 2021 Jellicoe Lecture keynote address, Championing Biodiversity, will be presented by Sir David Henshaw, with panellists representing Royal Parks, GMCA, Balfour Beatty, BALI and Vestre also in attendance.
