Our Story
A family business through-and-through, the Hewetson-Browns have been farming in Hampshire for two generations. In 1982, the decision was made to diversify from traditional crops into turf production and the family pioneered a soil-less growing system which inspired and transformed the industry.
Our Managing Director, James Hewetson-Brown, began experimenting with wildflower products in 2003, and by 2010 Ashe Warren Farm’s sole focus was the production of Wildflower Turf®. Today the business is led by James and his wife Claire, with younger son Olly also involved in the holidays.
In 2021, Wildflower Turf Ltd expanded substantially with the acquisition of new landholding in Shropshire. The purchase of Forge Farm will provide an additional 60,000m2 of production capacity and enable Wildflower Turf Ltd to continue to grow and innovate.
