With a very strong shortlist of finalists, and covering a wide array of impressive projects, the award-winners of the 2021 Landscape Institute Awards have now been announced.
Entries this year ranged from a £250 million car-free, low-carbon housing development in Leeds to a waterfront master plan on the shores of the Yangtze River, with applications coming from all sections of society.
With objectives to improve physical and mental health and wellbeing, promote sustainability and show excellence in preserving heritage and culture, this year’s field has continued to push boundaries.
As sponsors of the ‘Excellence in Biodiversity Conservation and Enhancement’ award, we offer our heartiest congratulations to the winner, the Trumpington Meadows Country Park project. Congratulations must also go to the very worthy runner-up in the ‘Excellence in Biodiversity Conservation and Enhancement’ category, the Ecosystem Resilience Field Guide project; a collaboration between Cyfoeth Naturiol Cymru Natural Resources Wales and LDA Design and Environment Systems.
